What is Citizenship?
Citizenship is a unique system in MapleStory Classic World that ties your character to a specific town, providing discounts, rewards, and access to special content. It unlocks at Level 12.
Important: Citizenship is per ACCOUNT, not per character. You cannot have multiple characters each tied to different towns.
How to Unlock
1. Reach Level 12
2. Visit any major town (Henesys, Ellinia, Perion, Kerning City, etc.)
3. Speak to the Citizenship NPC
4. Choose your home town — this decision matters!
Choosing Your Town
Each town offers different benefits. Consider:
Henesys：Bowman-friendly, good for archers
Ellinia：Magician hub, crafting resources
Perion：Warrior territory, smithing bonuses
Kerning City：Thief haven, market access
Lith Harbor：Starter-friendly, general benefits
Choose based on your class and preferred playstyle.
Rank System
Citizenship has multiple ranks, each providing increasing benefits:

How to Rank Up
• Complete daily quests in your citizenship town
• Complete weekly quests for larger rank progress
• Participate in town events
• Contribute to town development

Shop Discounts：Reduced prices at NPC shops in your town
Storage Discounts：Cheaper storage fees (separate 5%-per-grade discount)
Exclusive Quests：Town-specific quest chains
Crafting Bonuses：Some towns boost specific crafting professions

• Start working on Citizenship as soon as you hit Lv 12
